The Conservative Candidates for Weetwood Ward in the Leeds City Council elections on 3rd May 2018 are Angelo Basu, David Jessop and Howard Kiernan.
Angelo Basu has lived in Leeds North West for 13 years, first in Headingley and for the last 5 years in Weetwood. He has an 11 year old son who is in Y6 at a local state primary school and looking forward to going up to secondary school later in the year. Angelo was previously a governor of Spring Bank Primary School in Headingley where he had responsibility for the school's Special Educational Needs provision and latterly chaired its Finance Committee. He also played Santa at the school's Christmas Fair for several years. Angelo is a lawyer and a specialist in EU and Competition law who has advised on numerous regeneration projects in Yorkshire and the North East.
David Jessop has lived in West Park for 40 years. He is a retired Chartered Accountant. He is Chairman of Weetwood Conservatives and the Treasurer of Leeds North West Conservative Association.
Howard Kiernan is a long term Leeds resident who currently lives in Cookridge. He has worked for over 20 years in the security industry. He holds a degree in Music from Oxford University and has a keen interest in classical music and travel.
